On Monday, 3 August, LNZ Hub 3.0 opened to visitors and for a month will host farmers who want to see with their own eyes the largest agrotechnology platform, evaluate DEFENDA crop protection technologies, assess new UNIVERSEED silage and grain hybrids, as well as new sunflower hybrids.

This year, notes Yuliia Kamienieva, Marketing Director of LNZ Group, many new clients who had not previously attended such events are eager to visit the agrotechnology platform.
«This year is special primarily because LNZ Hub 3.0 has completely changed compared to the previous two years. While earlier it was more about demonstration lines and a fairly small number of trials, today's LNZ Hub is 10 blocks covering 20 ha, the entire line of UNIVERSEED grain and silage hybrids and 20 exclusively new sunflower hybrids, and more than 50 plots demonstrating DEFENDA protection technologies on spring wheat, corn, soybean and sunflower. It is the first «Crash Test» project in Ukraine, showing what is better not to do in the field to avoid problems and losses. There are a large number of control plots and trials, because we tried to outline the full range of problems farmers face and, together with them, find solutions for every farm», she noted.
According to Yuliia Kamienieva, the month of open visits to LNZ Hub 3.0 was booked in advance, as there were a great many requests from clients from all over Ukraine – both those who had attended similar company events before and new ones.
«I represent Altair-Ukraine 2020 LLC. This year I visited LNZ Hub for the first time, although we have been working with LNZ Group since 2017. I really liked today's presentations by the speakers and agronomists. They talked in an interesting, detailed and professional way about what is happening on the platform, about seeds and crop protection products. I am thinking about testing some UNIVERSEED grain corn hybrids on our farm next year. We are also interested in all DEFENDA protection lines for sunflower and corn, and we will hold negotiations on this», Oleksii Orel shares his impressions.
According to Viacheslav Panasiuk, Head of Field Marketing at LNZ Group, this year LNZ Hub has been completely renewed and has become more objective and interesting for agricultural producers.
«We completely updated the concept and approaches; the main task was to fully unlock the potential of crops and focus on the results a farmer can get in their own fields under real conditions. This year we also ran a «Crash Test» for the first time, which shows the main mistakes in growing wheat and corn. More than 20 wheat plots and more than 20 corn plots are taking part in this experiment. We already have very interesting results», he said.
Visits to the agro platform are allowed in small groups, taking into account quarantine restrictions. And this, says Yuliia Kamienieva, has a positive effect on communication: it is possible to give attention to each client and hold individual conversations on issues of direct interest to a particular participant.
«In addition, this year we paid great attention to the video format. We filmed the sowing of the plots, and there are many videos of plant development, so that today's visitors can see how all the processes took place and why the crops look the way they do now. Moreover, we have a number of Mini Hub trial and demonstration plots in various regions of the country, which can be visited and also viewed in detail on video. We are also filming our silage workshops, covering, together with experts, all the features and subtleties of the silage-making process. All of this can be watched on our channel», the Marketing Director noted.
