On August 22, the second part of the Silage Workshops was held at POA «Ukraina», Kyiv Oblast. During the event, participants learned about the advantages of UNIVERSEED corn hybrids and had the opportunity to ask questions to the Canadian guests of the event — Dr. Francis Glenn and John Cowan, President of North American Plant Genetics. This was reported by Kurkul.com.

As a reminder, a Canadian scientist spoke about the advantages of UNIVERSEED silage hybrids.
«Starting next year, we plan to expand our silage corn area from 170 to 270 ha due to the growth of our dairy herd. The UNIVERSEED hybrids we have already tested in our fields will definitely help provide our cows with high-quality feed», said Vitalii Poralo, Deputy Director for Production at POA «Ukraina».

To see the advantages of UNIVERSEED hybrids with their own eyes, after the theoretical part the guests visited a field of the «Ukraina» farm, where, together with Dr. Francis Glenn and John Cowan, they compared the new Canadian-bred hybrids with a control planting.
- We are very pleased with how many people came to our Silage Workshops. We are pleasantly surprised that the topic of our event aroused such strong interest among agricultural producers. Today we see people who came not just to listen to another lecture, but who asked professional questions and actively talked with our Canadian partners both during the presentation and while inspecting the crops in the field», commented the director of the distribution company LNZ Group Andrii Poltavets.

He added that, having sold UNIVERSEED silage hybrids for the past two years, LNZ Group has received only positive feedback from the farmers who chose them. So the results the company sees in its clients' fields, as well as in its own, give a clear understanding that the UNIVERSEED brand will win its niche in Ukraine.
