2019
At this year's AGRO 2019 exhibition, LNZ Group introduced visitors to new areas of its business, presenting the brands UNIVERSEED, DEFENDA and LNZ Web.
UNIVERSEED is a line of grain and silage corn hybrids, new to Ukraine, developed by North American breeders.
«It may seem there is nothing new left on the corn market, but those who seek always find. For more than 5 years, LNZ Group has been testing products from North American breeding institutes on its own fields, primarily from Canada. During this time we have studied more than 1500 corn hybrids. We chose the best ones and registered them under the UNIVERSEED brand. Today we are proud of our portfolio, which includes 8 grain hybrids as well as 3 silage hybrids of the Leafy and Leafy-Floury types that are unique for Ukraine. These are silage hybrids with exceptional potential, tailored for dairy farming,» said Vasyl Kyforuk, head of the LNZ agro department.
According to him, plants of these silage hybrids are morphologically 30-50 cm taller than ordinary corn and have 3-4 more leaves above the ear. These leaves are a highly digestible mass. All the new hybrids have been sown on the demonstration plots of both LNZ Hub and the company's partners.
«We have posted a calendar of events on the company website, and we warmly invite our partners and clients. We want to show the advantages of our hybrids and enter the season with real results. Since the brand launch was unconventional — we launched it two weeks ago, sowing was already over and farmers had already bought their seed — throughout the summer anyone interested can get acquainted with our new products directly in the fields in order to make decisions for the next season. By the way, we keep looking for new products. Every year we plan to register 2 silage and two grain hybrids,» noted Yuliia Kamenieva, marketing director of LNZ Group.
Another novelty presented at the stand was the DEFENDA crop protection brand. It entered the market at the end of autumn, and according to Ihor Maliborskyi, deputy director of the DEFENDA brand, the company openly states that it uses generic crop protection products, working directly with leading Chinese plants. It also invites its partners to visit these plants so they can see the quality of the products for themselves. At the same time, all products of this brand are used on LNZ Group's own fields.
«In addition to these novelties, at our exhibition stand we also presented a project that is in the process of "going live" — the LNZ Web online store. Before launching it fully, we want to collect user feedback, which can be given right at the stand. In general, the past year has been very rich in innovation for us. We have launched many brands. So at the exhibition we want to tell the general public about it and hear comments from our potential customers,» said Mykola Mandra, project manager of LNZ Web.
